FAIRLOP OUTDOOR ACTIVITY CENTRE

Fairlop Outdoor Activity Centre is an ideal place for people learning to sail. 40 acres of water with two islands situated in Fairlop Waters Country Park delivering beautiful natural surroundings. An open aspect across Fairlop Plain ensures a clean breeze.

The Centre benefits from purpose built facilities at the lakeside consisting of: - shower & changing rooms, classroom, workshop and office. 

The centre is open all year round with Summer and Winter season opening times and special activity times all shown to the right and has easy parking and central line transport links with Fairlop Underground station within walking distance. 

The centre holds Royal Yachting Association and British Canoe Union approval for instruction in dinghy sailing, windsurfing, powerboating and paddlesports.


Courses are designed to suit all ages and interests and our friendly professionally qualified instructors guarantee fast learning in a relaxed atmosphere.

Re-open Saturday session PM -        24th March         Re-open Sunday session -                 8th April

 

The centre offers a full range of courses throughout the year in canoeing/kayaking, seamanship skills, sailing with spinnakers, performance sailing, starting to race and day sailing.

There are also courses in windsurfing and private tuition in all of the forementioned.

We also offer a vast array of activities as 'one offs' or regular sessions for schools and groups which include dinghy sailing, kayaking, canoeing, bellboating, rafting, rowing, environmental studies, orienteering, problem solving and multi activity sessions.
