MARTIN SOLDER (CHAIR) is County Director for Essex Association of Boys and Girls Clubs and Stubbers Adventure Centre. Martin previously worked as Principal Leisure Officer for the London Borough of Newham and has extensive leisure experience across a range of disciplines including Parks & Open Spaces, Outdoor Education and Sports Development. Martin is also the Chair of Frenford Clubs and has been successful in securing a range of external funding in his paid and voluntary roles.
LINDA PERHAM has been a Redbridge resident since 1973, and served as a local Councillor for eight years including as Mayor, Chair of the Leisure Committee, Member of Redbridge Arts and Sports Councils, Fairlop Sailing Centre, and on the Board of the Kenneth More theatre. She was the Member of Parliament for Ilford North from 1997 to 2005 when she founded and chaired the first All Party Parliamentary Group on Libraries. Linda is a chartered librarian having held a number of posts over a long career. Linda is passionate about prioritising the provision of leisure and culture, promoting and advocating her interests through the many roles she has fulfilled in public life. She is currently a non-executive director/charity trustee in the public and voluntary sector and a local magistrate.
  KEVIN PITTMAN has lived in Redbridge all his life and is a frequent user of Fullwell Cross Leisure Centre, the Redbridge Cycling Centre and other facilities in the borough. He is now retired after 30 years as a telecommunications engineer and currently trains First Aid at Work on a part-time basis.
CATHERINE ROWAN has been a resident of Redbridge for 14 years and is a regular user of Valentines Park, the main Central Library and Fullwell Cross Leisure Centre. Catherine has a professional background in human resource management and is a Trustee in a local horticultural charity.
  BRIAN SPINKS (VICE CHAIR) Retired Chartered Marketer (MCIM) with a long progressive career in sales, marketing and general management, serving as an Executive Director with three internationally known consumer goods companies. Brian's experience includes business and strategic planning, finance/budgetary control, human resources and change management. Brian has extensive experience in the voluntary sector, including a period as Chair of Redbridge Council for Voluntary Services, Redbridge Sports Council and is a Governor of Epping Forest College (for further Education) and Deputy Lead Governor of North Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. He also served as a member of the Valuation Tribunal Service (VTS), representing London North East (including London Borough of Redbridge).  
DAVID THOROGOOD is a manager in a local authority in Hertfordshire. He has 25 years' experience in local government, currently as an Environmental Manager. David lives locally and has a broad range of experience, including being a board member of a wildlife trust, vice-chair of a school of governors, as well as working with diverse community groups.
